RVFTA 2017 Fall Gear Guide!

It’s that time of year again…time for us to round up and share some of the best new gear that we have been using during the 2017 camping season. Our gear guides are some of our most popular episodes, and it’s always exciting to recommend products that have brought value to our RV experience over the past year.

Hello Stephanie and Jeremy, thank you for all the wonderful and hard work you put in the podcast and blog. You two are totally awesome.

I have been wanting one of the collapsible hose for a while but the all so expensive especially those rated for drinking water. As I read the detail spec the one you recommended; it is not rated for drinking water. Do you use to fill your tank? What’s your opinion about horses that specific for drinking water? Thanks

    • RVFamilyTravelAtlas

We don’t use it to fill our tank. For our hose going into the RV we have one rated for drinking water. This is the hose we use on the splitter for rinsing off, putting out the fire, etc.

Very interested in the Thetford Porta Potti!! So do you all use it in addition to the RV bathroom or is this in your RV to not have to use the RV’s toilet? Thank you!

    • RVFamilyTravelAtlas

Dry camping, tent camping, and camping when winterized!!!

Just listened to your Fall Guide, some good ideas there. I would like to suggest that somewhere along the line you take a look at RV Superbag. For those of us who do not have a permanent bed (or bedroom for that matter) this sort of sleeping bag offers a solution to the bedding question. The RV Superbag is a combination of sheets and sleeping bag rolled into one. A summer and winter side eliminates the need for multiple bedding. It folds into a manageable size making it practical for our Class B. We used it in our hybrid (and this also applies to PopUP) because it eliminated the need to crawl all over the bed to attach a sheet. We have been very happy with ours for 3 years now. Just a suggestion for a future episode.
