On this episode of the Campground of the Week podcast, we are reviewing the Yogi at Shangri-La in Milton, Pennsylvania. This campground is part of the Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Camp Resorts family, and is a great example of the activities and amenities that many Jellystones offer.
Yogi at Shangri-La is located in eastern Pennsylvania, about 75 miles north of Hershey and 100 northwest of Lancaster County. The campground is nestled at the foot of the Montour Ridge, along the Chillisquaque Creek in the Susquehanna Valley.
This campground is a great place for a family getaway, offering everything you need right on site to chill out and have fun. In fact, the only times we left over our long weekend visit was to eat (twice!) at the amazing Road Food joint, Fence Drive-In. The fish platter, fish sandwiches, and milkshakes hit the spot for our whole family.
The price of this campground also hit the spot. Campsites run from 50-54 dollars for partial and full hook ups, and since it is a Good Sam park, you can also get the 10% discount if you are a member. We think this is a super reasonable price for all the activities and amenities offered on site.
The back in sites along the creek are pretty, but they only offer electric, so if you want full hook ups, you will have to move to the loop where we stayed (site 204). Listen to the episode to hear our other tips for choosing a site at Yogi at Shangri La campground.
In this episode, we discuss all the amenities available at this Jellystone, including:
- Heated swimming pool
- Poolside Cafe
- Playgrounds
- Gameroom
- Basketball
- Volleyball
- Gaga Ball
- Fishing
There are also a ton of schedule activities at the recreation pavilion and around the campground:
- Ceramics
- Crafts
- Line dancing
- Bingo
- “Hey” Rides
- Pledge with Yogi
- Coloring and cartoons
- Wet and Wild Hey, Hey Ride (Crazy!!! Fun!!!)
This is a fantastic campground to get away for a few days and enjoy some serious family fun.
See you at the campground!
