Towing your first RV to the campground does not have to be a stressful experience. Most RV newbies worry too much about towing–and some folks that are “RV curious” even let those worries get the best of them and decide to stay on the sidelines and not buy an RV at all.
This is not to say that towing an RV should be taken lightly. You need to be prepared and you need to know your equipment (and have the right equipment!) and have a strategy for getting from point A to point B. But once you are prepared and have developed a checklist and a strategy for towing–the experience can become part of the fun. Seriously.
I enjoy towing my RV now and feel relaxed the second I pull out of the driveway.
This mini RV Atlas podcast episode goes over 5 quick tips for towing safely that are perfect for RV newbies to implement. The episode is brought to you exclusively by our friends at the Original Equal-i-zer Sway Control Hitch. We have used the Equal-i-zer system on four of our RV’s over the course of the last 15 years and we have NEVER had a sway event happen to us while towing–and we have towed from Nova Scotia to Florida and as far west as South Dakota.
We trust the Equal-i-zer Sway Control Hitch to keep our family safe wherever we may tow!
We hope you check out this podcast for our quick tips and we hope to see all of you at the campground!
