On this week’s episode of Campground of the Week, we are reviewing the Bar Harbor/Oceanside KOA in Bar Harbor, Maine. If you are planning on visiting Acadia National Park, make sure you check out our other resources for this area including:

The Bar Harbor/ Oceanside KOA is all about the location, and we talk about why we love the unique positioning of this campground on Mount Desert Island. It places you within 15 minutes of the Hulls Cove Visitor Center, but also allows you to easily access the quieter areas of the park.
The price tag on this campground isn’t cheap, but the views and the location are worth the splurge. Our number one tip is to consult the campground map and only settle for an ocean front or ocean view campsite.
Additional amenities and activities include:
- playground
- basketball court
- dog park
- laundry
- access to pool at the Woodlands KOA a few miles up the road
- limited schedule of activities
We also highlight some of our favorite area attractions:
- Park Loop Road
- Echo Lake
- Great Head Trail
- Gorham Mountain Hike
- Downtown Bar Harbor
- Diver Ed
And food!
- Jordan Pond House
- Thurston’s Lobster Pound
- Lompoc Cafe
- College of the Atlantic, Take a Break Cafe
Thanks to our sponsors Jayco and Progressive for supporting weekly content for all those RV fools out there! We will see you at the campground…
